Michael Alter, LCSW
I offer expert consultation for reunification services in family law cases. I founded Reunification Works to better serve families in the complex arena of court involved parent-child contact problems, which conventional therapy was ill equipped to address.
In addition to a clinical social work degree from Bryn Mawr Graduate School in Philadelphia (Oregon license #2201), in 1995, I have done extensive training in parenting coordination through The American Family Institute (OFI) in 2009, court involved cases, resist-refuse dynamics, and other parent-child contact problems, through William James College, and continuing education seminars and workshops through the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC).
I am a member of AFCC, on the Board of AFCC Oregon Chapter, and have presented at family law conferences and DHS workshops. I have provided expert witness testimony in numerous cases. I am committed to assisting children and families embroiled in high conflict post-separation / post-divorce scenarios. I value a non-adversarial approach, exploring multiple perspectives to assess problems within a family, and between families and their respective community ecosystems.

I was trained as a Domestic Relations Mediator in 2003 and as a Parent Coordinator by the Oregon Family Institute in 2010.
I currently have a private practice with a focus on children and adolescents. My education and experience in school, community and residential mental health has given me the opportunity to work with kids and families managing a range of issues including anxiety, depression, trauma response, substance use, and parent-child difficulties. In supporting families, I utilize a systems approach that prioritizes working within the culture unique to each family and maximizing existing strengths.

Tammy Lovejoy, M.Ed., SUDCCIV-CS, LAC, MAC, LPC
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Master Addiction Counselor who has been practicing for over 25 years. I earned my bachelor’s in counseling degree at Old Dominion University and my master’s degree in counseling at the University of Phoenix. I have been certified as a Child and Family Investigator who has been working with children and families for over ten years.
I have vast experience working with mental health, crisis, addiction, trauma, and domestic violence. I provide both individual and group counseling and have worked in numerous professional settings including both in-patient, outpatient and private practice.
I owned an agency for twenty years and provided domestic violence treatment, addiction treatment, parenting, intensive outpatient, and mental health treatment. Upon moving, I then worked as Executive Director and therapist of a dual diagnosis/ addiction treatment center for veterans and first responders, I was honored to serve a community of individuals empowering them to see themselves through the best possible lens. I currently work in private practice providing individual, family and group therapy and serve all populations including marginalized communities and genders.
Although I am trained in many modalities, I truly believe that one treatment does not fit all. The focus of my style is both client centered, strength based and one of empowerment.
My goal is that my clients will take away a deeper understanding of themselves and develop a healthy and whole sense of individuality. I strive to create a safe environment of compassion where you can show up as you are, with no judgement. At its core, our sessions will always move at the speed of trust. My goal is to make sure that everyone walks away with a developed sense of a healthy and balanced lifestyle, and a way of thinking and interacting with the world around you with clarity and understanding.

Dendree Knott, Office Manager
I received my degree in Health Records Management from Central Oregon Community College. I have heard it said that you should be what you wanted to be as a child. I wanted to be a child psychologist, and then an accountant. I believe I am doing a little bit of both with this profession. Helping the therapists who help others is very rewarding to me.
I have owned and operated my Jazzercise franchise for 40 years and that helps me to work with a wide variety of people with varying needs.
